Terms and Conditions

The following Terms and Conditions of Campus für Christus Schweiz apply to this website because THE FOUR is a ministry of Campus für Christus Schweiz.
In addition, the following Terms and Conditions also apply to this website because they cover what is specifically required for this international THE FOUR online shop.

These terms and conditions (T&C) of THE FOUR apply to the website https://shop.thefour.com including the online shop. THE FOUR is a branch of work of Campus für Christus Schweiz. (Chamber of Commerce Number Campus für Christus: CH-020.6.900.073-7).

The contract between the customer or donor and THE FOUR comes about through an order by the customer and the subsequent acceptance of the order by THE FOUR. The customer’s order is placed via the online shop. THE FOUR accepts the order by (a) sending the customer an order confirmation (by e-mail in the online shop) or (b) delivering the ordered goods directly (incl. invoice or delivery note). This means that the T&C listed here become legally valid.

1. Pricing
The prices in dollars (USD) include sales tax. Price, range and technical changes as well as erroneous information and printing errors are reserved. THE FOUR may change the information on products and prices at any time.
In addition, other taxes or costs (e.g. customs duties) may be incurred as part of an order, which are not paid by us or invoiced by us, but are to be paid by the customer directly to the responsible customs or tax authorities. If necessary, please ask the responsible authorities for details.

2. Order and conclusion of contract
The order or registration of the customer is binding for him after receipt of the automatically generated confirmation by e-mail. THE FOUR is free to reject the processing of an order at any time without giving reasons. In this case, THE FOUR will inform the customer. A sales contract is only concluded if and when THE FOUR carries out the customer’s order in writing (by email or letter).

3. Shipping
Shipping is at the risk of the recipient. The shipping costs are listed separately in the online shop and are included in the total price. The shipping costs vary depending on the ordered products and their number. The expected delivery time is displayed at checkout. The products are shipped from different locations depending on the product type. THE FOUR works with print-on-demand companies that handle assignments with institutions around the world.
If one of the items ordered by the customer is not in stock, the delivery of the remaining items is not affected. Missing items will be delivered as soon as possible and at no extra charge. It is possible that the order will be split into several deliveries.
If the delivery is redelivered due to incorrect address information, the recipient bears all shipping costs incurred.

4. Payment Term and Invoice Currency
The total amount due is to be paid via PayPal immediately after the order has been completed. Unpaid orders will be canceled automatically.
The total amount will be charged in dollars (USD). When paying in dollars (USD), there are no additional fees for the customer when paying with PayPal. When paying in a different currency, additional conversion fees may be charged to the customer when paying with PayPal.

5. Right of Withdrawal, Exchange and Defects
Exchange, return or cancellation of the order are only possible in the case of defective or faulty goods. An exchange or return due to an incorrectly ordered size is not possible, since the products are only produced when the customer places an order. Transport damage, incorrect deliveries and complaints can be made within ten days of receipt of the goods in writing to [email protected] or by telephone on +41 44 274 84 39.

6. Warranty
With regard to the warranty, the statutory provisions of the Swiss Code of Obligations apply exclusively.

7. Security and Privacy
The data required for business transactions, regardless of whether they were collected online or offline, are stored by THE FOUR and can be used on the one hand to process the contract and on the other hand for marketing and statistical purposes. All personal data will be treated confidentially by THE FOUR. The data protection agreements are recorded in the following document.

8. Images
All online and print image material used by THE FOUR is protected by copyright and may only be used with the consent of THE FOUR.

9. Donations
As an aid and mission organization, we are mainly financed by donations. We do not receive any fixed contributions from either the state or the church. For this reason, we depend on the partnership of committed people who support us financially.
9.1 Purpose Limitation
Your donations will be used according to the purpose of the donation. This means that donations for a branch of work, a project or an employee are actually used for this purpose.
In exceptional cases, a project may receive more funds than are needed or a project may be completed. Such funds are used in another project with a goal that is as similar as possible. Donations marked “where most needed” or “at free disposal” help us to finance projects for which too little money is raised.
9.2 Solidarity
Donations for employees can develop very dynamically. This can lead to an under- or cause coverage. In order to ensure the continuity of wage payments, we cultivate a culture of solidarity and help each other out – in the knowledge that ultimately we can only perceive and implement our mission together.

10. Disclaimer
The liability of THE FOUR is hereby waived to the extent permitted by law.
THE FOUR websites may contain links to third-party websites. Third-party websites may link to THE FOUR websites. THE FOUR assumes no responsibility for such websites and their content, for the products, services or other offers they offer or for their compliance with data protection regulations and distances itself from them. Activating a link is at the user’s own risk.

11. Final Clause
If any part of these T&C is altered or becomes null and void the remaining terms and conditions remain in place. THE FOUR and the customer are obliged to come to an agreement according to the sense and the purpose of the prescription to be replaced as far as possible. Alterations, specifications and supplements to agreements of these T&C need to be made in writing.

12. Applicable Right and Place of Jurisdiction
The legal relationships are under Swiss supervision. The only place of jurisdiction for any disagreement is Zurich. Compulsory places of jurisdiction, namely places of jurisdiction for consumers, are reserved.

Enactment
These T&C enacted on November 23, 2024.
